Independent studio, Paris

From the first moodboard to the shipped app.

HASEN is a small independent studio. We take an idea through every stage, research, direction, design, and engineering, and release it as a product people can actually hold in their hand.

Built for founders and teams in France, from a first sketch to a published app.

Method

A single arc, from sketch to release.

Design and engineering share the same studio, the same people, and the same deadlines. Nothing is thrown over a wall.

01

Moodboard

We start wide. Reference images, textures, tones, a written brief. A shared picture of the feeling the product should leave.

02

Style tile

The palette, typography, and components are resolved in one canvas, so every later decision has a place to refer to.

03

Style frames

One or two key screens, fully designed. The look and voice applied to real content before production begins.

04

Screens

Every flow, edge state, and empty state drawn. Components promoted to a kit. Ready to hand to engineering.

05

Build and ship

Mobile, web, backend. We build what we designed, instrument it honestly, and release it when it is genuinely ready.

Who we work with

Two kinds of people end up here.

We are a small senior studio, so we take on a handful of projects a year. Here are the two we most often end up working with.

Founders

You have an idea or a prototype.

You need a small senior team that can take it from wireframe to the App Store. Design, iOS, Android, backend, under one roof, and a real conversation at every milestone.

Traditional companies

Your core business is not software.

You build, serve, or sell something physical or operational, and you need a partner to design and build the mobile or web product that sits alongside it. We plug in as a senior team from discovery to launch.

FAQ

Questions we usually hear first.

Where are you based?
HASEN is a small studio in Paris, France. We work in person in the city and remotely with clients across France and the EU.
Do you take projects from outside Paris?
Yes, anywhere in France and the EU. Most of our work is remote with a few on-site workshops at key moments. We are happy to travel for a kickoff.
Do you work with early stage startups?
Yes. We often start with founders who have a prototype or a sketch and need a senior team to take it all the way to the App Store or the web. First call is always free.
Do you work with traditional companies?
Also yes. If your core business is not software but you need a mobile or web product to support it, we plug in as a senior design and engineering team.
Can you design and build, or just one?
Both, in the same studio, from the same people. Design and engineering are not separate phases here, they share every decision.
How does a first conversation work?
You write us a short email, what you are trying to do and a rough idea of when. We reply within a couple of days with a 30 minute call to see if we are the right fit. No pitch deck needed.

Studio

A small practice, in Paris.

HASEN is a handful of senior designers and engineers. We take on a limited number of projects a year so each one receives the care it is worth.

No trackers in the things we ship, local first where we can, and an honest conversation at every milestone.
